The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has allowed the Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) students to appear for a board examination for one subject without repeating the academic year.
If you are failing in the English exam you cannot get a pass certificate. Other than English subjects if you fail then you can get a pass certificate. For more information read the article.
